ABSTRACT
En esta revisión de la literatura se describen aspectos epidemiológicos, fisiopatológicos, clínicos y terapéuticos sobre una presentación atípica y grave de escabiosis, la sarna costrosa o noruega. Esta presentación de escabiosis destaca por afectar principalmente a personas con condiciones de inmunodepresión o sociales que las hacen susceptibles de una alta carga parasitaria, además se asocia a un peor pronóstico y a riesgo de complicaciones. Desde el punto de vista terapéutico, sus estrategias difieren del manejo de la escabiosis clásica.(AU)
This literature review describes epidemiological, pathophysiological, clinical and therapeutic aspects of an atypical and severe presentation of scabies, Norwegian or crusty scabies. This presentation of scabies stands out because it mainly affects people with immunosuppressive or social conditions that make them susceptibleto a high parasite load, it is also associated with a worse prognosis and risk of complications. From a therapeutic point of view, their strategies differ from the management of classic scabies.(AU)

Resumen Las infecciones por bacterias gramnegativas del género Myroides son muy poco frecuentes y generalmente afectan la piel y tejidos blandos de pacientes con algún grado de inmunocompromiso. Presentamos un caso de una mujer de 23 años, con antecedentes de mielomeningocele operado y pie bot, que cursó con una infección profunda de la extremidad inferior derecha por Myroides odoratimimus. La identificación de especie se realizó con técnica de MALDI-TOF. El tratamiento fue inicialmente con meropenem y ajustado a ciprofloxacina, junto con realizar una amputación supramaleolar derecha.
Abstract Infections due to Gram-negative bacteria of the genus Myroides are very rare and generally affect the skin and soft tissues of patients with some degree of immunocompromise. We present a case of a 23-year-old patient with a history of myelomeningocele surgically resolved at 3 years of age and bot foot, who presented with a deep infection of the right lower extremity by Myroides odoratimimus. The species identification was carried out with MALDI-TOF and the treatment was initially carried out with meropenem and finally then ciprofloxacin, in addition to right supramaleolar amputation.

Sin embargo, también tienen la capacidad de producir infecciones superficiales y profundas en humanos y animales, contaminar e infectar granos, frutas, plantas y generar verdaderos desastres ecológicos.
Fungi are eukaryotic organisms, its nutrition is absorptive and they are widespread present in environment and substrates. They have been part of the history of human being and his development: they are useful as food, in medicine, enzyme production, in the industrial activity and forestry. However they have the capacity of infect superficial and deep human and animal tissues, contaminate and infect grains, fruits, plants and even produce environmental disasters.
